This design features little cables - perfect for the intermediate knitter. This unisex cardigan has a Scandinavian vibe that will have your little one on-trend through the years to come, with sizes ranging from 3 months to 12 years. The pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down in one piece.

Cable needles are required for this pattern, with more information listed below; you will also need to be familiar with slipping a stitch and making stitches throughout the design.

My inspiration: A memory from my travels. The twining forest of Losby Gods, Norway - A majestic country estate. The delicate cables in this design reflect the forest surrounding the estate.

SKILL LEVEL Intermediate

MATERIALS REQUIRED BWM Classic 8ply x 1-3 balls (see below)

One pair 3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) long straight needles OR circular needles 41 cm (16 in) and 61 cm (24 in) for the larger sizes.
One set 3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) double pointed needles, or size needles to obtain correct tension.
(If preferred when knitting the sleeves you could work the Magic Loop method.)
8 Stitch markers
Darning needle
Cable needle
5 [5 : 5 : 5 : 6] [6 : 6 : 7 : 7] buttons

MEASUREMENTS (cm approx)

TENSION 22 stitches x 30 rows/rounds = 10cm (4 in) worked in stocking st on 3.75mm (US 5 : UK 9) needles, or needle size required to obtain the same tension.
