The simple little top down cardigan is worked in garter stitch with sleeves worked in stocking stitch. It has a delicate leaf pattern running down each side at the front. Featuring a simple neckline, with no seaming required. This pattern also comes with a matching hat.
This is knitted up in the new Bendigo 8ply Whisper, which is a super soft yarn and a delight to knit with!

SKILL LEVEL Intermediate

MATERIALS REQUIRED BWM Whisper 8ply, 1-2 balls for cardigan (1 ball for hat), see chart below

4 mm (US 6 : UK 8) circular needles or extra long straight needles.
One set 4 mm (US 6 : UK 8) double-pointed needles, or if preferred you can work the sleeves with circulars using the 'Magic Loop method'.
3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) circular needles
One set of 3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) double pointed needles
5 [6 : 6 : 7 : 7 : 8] buttons, 19mm (3/4 in)
Stitch markers
Stitch holder
Darning needle to sew in ends

TENSION 22 sts x 30 rounds/rows = 10 cm (4 in) worked in st st on 4 mm (US 6: UK 8) needles. 22 sts x 40 rounds/rows = 10 cm (4 in) worked in garter st on 4 mm (US 6 : UK 8) needles, before blocking.
Please note: Tension in garter st AFTER blocking should be 22 sts x 40 rounds/rows = 10 cm (4 in).
