RFS (are you….Ready For Spring)
Introducing Bendigo Woollen Mills RFS.
RFS is excess fibre resulting from our yarn production machinery. It is part of our regular yarn production and is small amounts of sliver, laps and filling that are discarded during the spinning process. To save it from going to waste this fibre is gathered up, re-combed back into tops and spun then dyed into some fun new colours to create our unique RFW.
The RFS blend is mostly wool but due to the recycled nature of this yarn it may contain any of the fibres that we use in our factory including wool, alpaca, or bamboo. Using these different natural fibres means that each ball will be unique and as a result there may be slight variations in colours between balls of the same shade, and each dyelot may be quite different. (Avoid disappointment, ensure you order enough to finish your project).
RFS is an 8ply hand washable crepe yarn and will be available for a limited time only** at the super special price of just $10.00 a ball. Remember each ball weighs 200g (that’s $2.50 per 50g) and there is 400 meters of yarn on each ball, this is this is incredible value. Tension on this yarn is 22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch on 4.00mm needles.
